Storm have secured the re-signing of Hakeem Sylla, with the Guinea international returning after an impressive first year at the club.
Sylla averaged a double-double in his first season at Storm, with 17.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per match, helping him make the NBL D1 Team of the Season and has established himself as a key D1 asset after previous successful years at Thames Valley Cavaliers.
Last year, Sylla was an important component in Storm’s success, with impressive defensive plays as well as clutch offensive spells throughout the year, ensuring Storm maintained control due to his physicality inside the key. Storm can expect more of the same from the 29-year old this campaign as he hopes to add to the silverware obtained with the squad last year.
Exciting signs for the Storm fans as the new season fastly approaches.
