After an impressive first campaign in black and orange, Veron Eze will rejoin Storm for his second season at the club.
Veron settled into his new environment quickly and enjoyed success in his first campaign at Storm.
“It was rewarding playing for such an invested community which is why winning the chip after facing the adversity of injuries and changes to the roster felt like such an accomplishment.”
“There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes with many phenomenal people showing a strong commitment, making the player experience one of the best in the country.”
Known for his energy off the bench, Eze stepped up in key moments last year as injuries ravaged the squad and was a vital piece in Playoff success.
An Ipswich basketball academy graduate, Veron first made his name on the NBL scene with Barking Abbey and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Alongside experience in the NCAA Division 2 in America, Eze spent a year at Worthing Thunder before he landed in Hemel.
Perhaps his most memorable contribution of the season came as he sunk a buzzer-beater to down league champions Derby Trailblazers in a thrilling tie helping to set Storm up for their post-season adventures.
Now also a fan-favourite junior community coach, everyone at Hemel Storm is excited to have Veron back and are looking forward to seeing him return to the court for the 2024/25 campaign where he has more silverware on his mind.
“From the day I arrived I’ve been shown an abundance of support and it’s only fair us players give them even more to celebrate this season.”
