Burnell brings up a decade with Storm!

15/08/2025

Hemel-born Jack Burnell will make it 10 years with his hometown club after resigning for the 2025/26 campaign.

It’s been an era littered with success, particularly in the recent years that even saw him captain the team to playoff glory in the 2023/24 campaign.

Since joining the junior ranks back in 2013, Burnell has made his name as one of the most talented three-point shooters around and also has a well-honed creative instinct. He’s worked hard on his defensive game and is guaranteed to give everything for the team whenever he enters the court.

His longevity has seen him develop into something of a fan favourite and he plays an important role in bedding any new faces into unfamiliar surroundings.

“After 13 years at the club and now entering my 10th year with our senior men’s team, I’m extremely excited to be back!

Winning the league last season was a fantastic achievement, and as we build our roster for the year ahead, I’m really looking forward to what’s to come and to being back out there in front of our fans.”

The fans are certain to be equally delighted at Jack’s return and everyone at the club looks forward to seeing him take to the court with his new teammates in the first ever edition of the British Championship Basketball league.
