Hemel Storm Basketball have received sponsorship through McDonald’s franchisee, Alan Butchers, as part of the ongoing efforts to support the local community.
Local basketball team, Hemel Storm, have received sponsorship for the third year in a row ahead of next season from local franchisee, Alan Butchers.
Alan, who owns and operates three McDonald’s across the local area has been a supporter of Storm since 2016, and this new agreement follows the re-opening in June of the Bourne End restaurant which has seen a significant new technological investment.
Local McDonald’s franchisee, Alan Butchers (left in photo), who is a keen supporter of local sport said:
“We have really enjoyed supporting Storm and have loved the incredible match-night atmosphere and the fun that it brings to the Hemel Hempstead community. The game of basketball is a great fit with the McDonald’s brand and we are delighted to extend our contribution to help develop the team. I look forward to seeing even more Storm fans in all of our Hemel restaurants on match-nights as we celebrate the success of the team in the coming season”
Commenting on this announcement Storm Chairman Tony Humphrey (right in photo) said:

The Club will be announcing player signings nearer to the start of the season which will open with a challenge match at Hemel Leisure Centre against Team USA Select - the American touring team - on Saturday 8th September, tip off 7pm
