- NEW. Based at Longdean School in Hemel, we aim to recruit Year 8 basketball talent to form a “Hemel Storm Year 8 Development team”. It is hoped that this team can progress across the coming years with coaching content and objectives overseen by Hemel Storm coaching staff. A separate announcement will be made about this during the summer holidays in time for it to begin in the new autumn term.
- NEW. Based at JFK School in Hemel, we aim to recruit 16-18 age group basketball talent to form a “Hemel Storm 16-18 Development team”. A separate announcement will be made about this in time for it to begin in the new autumn term.
- NEW. Hemel Storm is pleased to announce a new and exciting working relationship with the University of Hertfordshire that will see both organisations working closely to support the development of the Hemel and University Basketball programmes. A separate announcement will be made about this in due course.
Through maximising the resources available to us, the Storm management committee believe that the above offers an integrated development pathway for local basketball talent. In addition, the creation of options at U18 level and a second men’s senior side will provide exciting new options to play competitive basketball for Hemel Storm.
