Hemel Storm Women narrowly missed out on the title, but rounded out an impressive regular season with another victory on Saturday.
They beat Birmingham Rockets 54-50, but Milton Keynes Breakers also won, meaning they stole top spot courtesy of a one-point head-to-head advantage.
Nonetheless, Storm’s second-placed NBL Division Two Pool A finish is the highest in the club’s history, losing only twice throughout the campaign.
It also secured them home court advantage for the playoff quarter final, to be played at St Columba’s College at 3pm on Saturday 28 March.
Their opponent will be confirmed this weekend, and it would be great to see as many Storm fans there to support the girls, with the BCB men’s team in action at the StormDome later that evening.
