GAME PREVIEW
Saturday 28th October - 7.30pm tip off
Derby Trailblazers vs Hemel Storm
NBL Division One

Saturday’s game sees Hemel Storm make the journey to face Derby Trailblazers at the Clarence Wiggins Sports Centre.

It certainly looks to be an interesting encounter between two top teams in the Division One league, with both teams looking to take victory. Both teams were at the top end of the league table last season, and look to replicate their performance this season.

Storm come into the game off the back of a comfortable victory at home to Worthing Thunder. However, they will look to work on claiming the vital rebounds and maintaining their focus throughout the whole 40 minutes of play. The away side will look to showcase a good accuracy of shooting and aim to dominate inside the paint to claim the victory. It is a much changed side for Storm since their last matchup against the Trailblazers, with 6 members of last seasons roster remaining.

As for Derby Trailblazers, player retention has been a key to their success in previous years. They will look to claim revenge from last season’s National Cup final, which saw Storm claim a 21 point victory. However, with 7 members of their roster remaining for this season’s campaign, the Blazers look to impress in front of their home crowd and gain another victory for themselves. They also have strengthened in key areas, with Sam Masten coming in to replace Ryan Bruggeman, who left the Blazers in the summer.

It is sure to be a fantastic battle between the two sides, in front of their vociferous fanbases. Storm will need to be well prepared for the talented Derby team and work hard to get the victory. The fixture should not disappoint and will definitely be a good watch between two high quality teams.
