Hemel Storm are pleased to confirm the re-signing of Brayden Inger on a deal running for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign, as well as the duration of the following 2025/26 season.
Whilst his involvement in NBL action has been slightly delayed, Brayden’s first game after returning to the club will come on Saturday, when Storm face Manchester Basketball in the SLB Cup.
Having his Coaches’ Player of the Season back from last term will undoubtedly come as a bonus for Mark Clark, and he now has an increasingly deep roster to ensure he has all options covered within his squad.
Such an array of talent sets Storm up for further success this season, with them already sitting top of the table with a 10-0 record, as well as advancing to the National Cup semi-finals. They will now have eyes on adding to the impressive record of silverware won by the club in recent years.
Brayden Inger, a former New Zealand international, headed to Hemel at the beginning of last season having made his name with three strong campaigns with the Southland Sharks.
He contributed heavily for Storm last term, averaging 13.5 points per game and showing an abundance of grit and tenacity when on court. Despite suffering the setback of two injuries, he was determined to play his part and even battled through injury to help his side pick up the Division One Playoff Final trophy in Manchester.
The performances won over both Head Coach Mark Clark, describing him as a “high basketball IQ player” when awarding him his Player of the Year trophy, and the Storm fans, who will be delighted to see Inger return.
Since that spell, Brayden has been busy, returning to the Southland Sharks for a further year and getting married to fiancée, Georgina Fisher. He now arrives back in Hemel refreshed and ready to make an impact, as Storm look to build on their positive start to the 2024/25 campaign.
For your first chance to see Brayden back in the black and white stripes of Hemel Storm, head down to the StormDome on Saturday when we host top-tier opposition in Manchester Basketball for an SLB Cup clash not to be missed. Tickets can be bought through the Fanbase app here as we get ready to welcome back a fan favourite!
