Hemel Storm Basketball Club “Storm” and Vanarama today announce a new two year extension of the major sponsorship package which was originally signed between the organisations in 2016.
Vanarama the award winning nationwide vehicle leasing company whose headquarters are in Hemel Hempstead, will continue to be the lead sponsor for Storm.
Vanarama Founder and CEO Andy Alderson commented "We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Storm and working with the team to make their project so successful. It’s so pleasing to see the sporting enjoyment that Storm is bringing to the local community. I am delighted to renew our sponsorship and I wish the team continued success.”
The extended partnership will see Storm playing in a new home and away kit in the famous black and orange livery of Vanarama. The new Storm uniform will be launched shortly alongside new casual clothing merchandise all of which will be available for fans to order in the coming weeks from the online Storm shop.
Storm Chairman Tony Humphrey said “The incredible support we have had from Vanarama across the past three seasons has transformed our club both on and off the court. This renewal will further secure our ability to compete at this level and our fans can look forward to the coming seasons with a growing sense of fun and ambition. I’d like to thank Andy and his team for everything they have done and continue to do for us.
The momentum achieved in the past 3 years has captured the imagination of the local community with record crowds creating a great family atmosphere at our home games. Elsewhere through our joint venture with Russell Hoops we have a daily presence in local schools running basketball clubs and academies. In addition, Storm has recently launched “Storm II” who compete at National Basketball League Division 4, as well as an U18 and U13 team and we have forged strategic links with the University of Hertfordshire”.
Daryl West, Head of Marketing and Sponsorship at Vanarama added “We’ve been so impressed with what the management team are doing at Hemel Storm. Their focus on the community is fully aligned with our core values and we are excited to be supporting the team and their future ambitions, we all wish them the best of luck for the coming season.
