We’ve incredible news to mark the celebration and the launch of our women's team who begin their National League 2 campaign this coming Saturday (Vs Bracknell Cobra Ladies at the JFK School Hemel Hempstead with a 3pm tip).
Today, we can announce that Madesil Pharmacie and its Managing Director Rutvig Patel have agreed an exciting new club sponsorship with Hemel Storm, that specifically supports our new women’s team in what is an important evolution of our club.
Madesil Pharmacie, who operate a chain of London and North London based pharmacies, offer a range of patient walk-in, telephone or video based well-being and support services as well as the next day, nationwide, delivery of prescribed medicines.
Commenting on this development Rutvig said “After being introduced and watching Hemel Storm, I have to say that alongside my family we have all enjoyed the game night experiences so much that I am delighted to help grow the club further. I am very excited to be associated with the launch of this new team and to be part of the Storm family”.
Storm Chairman Tony Humphrey added “ As a community we can’t thank Rutvig enough for agreeing to the lead sponsorship of this new team because his support is critical in what is a very exciting moment for us. We’ll be proud to wear the Madesil Pharmacie logo on our national travels, as well as those of our other kit sponsorships (so far agreed) with Certa Service, Lennon’s Solicitors and K. Brind Physio. Led by Head Coach Lily Frederick and Storm legend, Assistant Coach Steve Darlow, the roster is locked and loaded and will be announced shortly. We're talking largely Hertfordshire talent who've repped the national team, played US college basketball, and compete at the highest level of junior and senior squads across the UK.
It's a new era for women's hoops in Hemel and gives top-tier women's sports the spotlight it deserves in our town. The immediate objective is to gain promotion with their sights set in time for promotion to NBL1 and then bringing home trophies!
