Storm have bolstered their squad for the upcoming season by signing the highly accomplished and composed point guard Nick Allin and the 7ft 3 centre, Oliver Dykes.
Allin, 22, and Dykes, 21, represented Storm at the recent Howell Tournament and against Team USA Select, both providing valuable minutes and giving a great account of themselves to the onlooking fans.
Allin has been involved with Storm for many years, he recently represented Hemel Storm II in Division Four and was one of the league’s top players, consistently scoring and defending the opponent’s best player to a high level.
Dykes, who will be the league’s tallest player, offers great rim protection and will be a force to be reckoned with in the low-post. At the Howell Tournament, Dykes’ ability to be dominant on the defence end was recognised as he picked up Best Defensive Player.
These signings are part of our plan to continue to develop young, talented players who will represent Storm for many years to come.
The vision of the club is for Allin and Dykes to lace up for Storm in Division One and Division Three, with the intention of developing their experiences on and off the court with both of our teams.
